Activity:
- Click here to go to Woodland Trust’s website and explore the tree identification activities. Then print the appropriate season “leaf spotter sheet” and leaf or Twig iDial.
- With your parents’ assistance, try completing the leaf spotter sheet and iDials.
- Next, ensuring that it is a safe to handle plant, complete a leaf rubbing using crayons in your journal or notebook for future identification purposes.
- Using the leaf rubbing and any observations around where the leaf was collected, attempt to identify which tree or area of trees it may have come from.
